Systemic Design Toolkit

Building a Global Platform for Complex Problem-Solving

We partnered with Namahn to venture the Systemic Design Toolkit, a digital platform that makes systems thinking accessible to practitioners worldwide. The toolkit bridges academic theory and practical application through visual frameworks, interactive canvases, and step-by-step methodologies. Our challenge was transforming complex systems theory into an intuitive digital experience for diverse users from design consultants to policy makers.

Collaborative Business Model Design: Building Consensus Across Partners

We facilitated intensive business model workshops bringing together key stakeholders from four pioneering organizations: Namahn, MaRS Solutions Lab, Systemic Design Association, and ShiftN. Using visual canvases and iterative mapping exercises, we aligned diverse perspectives on value creation, customer segments, and revenue streams. This participatory approach created shared ownership and commitment, transforming individual expertise into a unified platform strategy.

Digital Platform Design & Development

We developed a website that reveals complexity gradually, starting with an engaging homepage. The platform features video tutorials, downloadable canvas templates, real-world case studies, and a growing library of specialized tools for different sectors.

Launch Impact: Building a Global Community

Our phased launch strategy began with a teaser site that captured early interest from the systemic design community. The full platform launched at the RSD7 conference, immediately establishing it as the definitive resource for practitioners. Social media campaigns showcased the toolkit in action, while partnerships with leading institutions provided credibility. Today, the platform serves thousands of users globally, fostering a community united by a shared visual language and handbook for tackling complex challenges.
